Openbox podcasters will be using their mobile phones to record, here are some tips for recording quality audio using a mobile device:



I. Positioning the phone A. Hold the phone at a comfortable distance from your mouth, about 4–6 inches away. B. Position the phone at an angle to reduce popping sounds.

II. Recording in a quiet environment A. Find a quiet room or space with no background noise or distractions. B. Close doors and windows to reduce external noise.

III. Use a headset or headphones A. Use a headset or headphones with a built-in microphone. B. This helps reduce ambient noise and echoes.

IV. Editing software A. You can use free mobile apps like Audacity, GarageBand, or Anchor for editing your podcast. B. These apps provide basic editing tools like trimming, fading, and adding background music.

V. Test recording A. Record a test podcast episode to check the sound quality, and ensure that everything is working correctly.

VI. Record multiple takes A. Record multiple takes to ensure that you have enough material to work with. B. Choose the best recording, and edit it to create your final podcast episode.
